Early Morning Visitors
Had four unusual visitors in my backyard this morning. I came into my studio about ten this morning and walked toward the west windows, which look out onto the acre of woods behind my house. What a surprise for there stood four deer, two female adults and two babies. Now I am assuming they were female adults for there were no horns. Of course it could have been two teenagers and two kids. :O) I quickly ran across the room to get my camera to take a picture. Well of course when I got back to the windows there was just one adult deer left. At least I can prove that there was one deer in my yard. The pictures are not that clear for they were shot through the window screen. Would have been great if I could have gotten to the back porch without them running away.
I was really surprised to see them since there have been so many new houses built around me in the past couple of years. Just hope they have enough to eat back there in my back forty. Oh how I wish I had forty acres behind my home. About six months ago I had just gotten out of my driveway and was about two hundred feet down the road when a deer leaped across the road in front of me. Wonder if it was one of the four that visited me today. Going to keep an eye out for them again and also keeping the camera closer.
Well I will have to add the photos later because for some reason they will not upload to the blog. Hope Scott will get back with me tomorrow to tell me how to solve the problem. :O)
