Thirty-one years ago tonight I was standing with Don on the grand staircase of the Kansas City Museum and repeating my wedding vows. It is hard to believe that it has been that many years since we said “I do.” So many things have happened in that span of time. We lived in five different states and had eight different homes in the fifteen years that we had together. The two best things that happened to us were the births of Scott Alan and Brian Phillip. Just two weeks ago Scott celebrated his twenty-ninth birthday and Brian will be twenty-six in July. Seems only a year or so ago that they were tiny babies and today they are both six feet six inches tall. The photo of the boys was made in Fort Worth when Brian and I went over for Scott’s 29th birthday on March 24, 2007. Brian is on the left and Scott is on the right.
