More Exercises Mean More Flexibility

More physical therapy today and when I left Green Clinic I was bushed. The therapist took me through four new exercises today in addition to the one with the rod and they all hurt. Not a hurt that I could not stand but I could definitely feel the muscles pulling which was rather uncomfortable. But tonight my arm is more flexible. The therapist told me my homework for Saturday and Sunday was to do the three exercises, thirty times each. I have to do the one with the rod, one where I lift my arm straight up and then one where I also lie down and then move my arm from my hip out to the side until the arm is almost straight out from my shoulder. The one with the rod is not too bad anymore for I can lift with my left arm but the other two use the right arm only and by the time I have done thirty of each I just want to curl up in a ball and sleep. I would cry but know that sleep will do me a lot more good. :O) Since that are three exercises with thirty repeats each, I told him I would do one in the morning, one in the afternoon, and one at night. He thought that was a good idea. Hopefully doing only thirty repeats at a time the arm will not be as tired. He also told me to start using it more for doing things that I normally do.  That is just about everything since I am totally right handed.

This is so much fun reading your blog. Sounds as if your therapy sessions are really working for you too.
