Your blog is growing and looking good DD. I have had a thought....(it does happen now and then ;-) I have collected vintage linens for years. Most of mine come from family and after years of use are often threadbare and worn, but I cherish them anyway. Some I have purchased. There used to be a seller on e-bay that I bought vintage pieces from. She must have had a background in such things as she had a lovely web site you could go to for tips on the care and laundry of these items. I wish I printed it all out as I can no longer find her or her web site. Since you have your Smithsonian back ground I thought perhaps you would be kind enough to offer up some thoughts on caring for our vintage items. One day when I am a more confidant CQer I plan to make some of these items into wall hangings to pass down to my nieces and nephews. I have several drawers full of hankies and doilies, table runners, etc....they should not lie in the drawer till someone discards them when I die...they deserve to be used and passed on.

I love it... don't need it, but DO WANT IT!!!! I can't imagine driving that far for stuff, though. I guess I would if I didn't have anything around. I used to drive 2 hours each way to go to Half-Priced Books. I love that place and they don't have one in the Valley... grrr.
Love your site, dd
